  • Through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), adults over the age of 18 years prepare to become members of the Church over a period of time. This conversion process, through a prayerful discernment of God's will, culminates in the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist), or in the case of Baptized Christians the Profession of Faith, Confirmation, Reconciliation, and Eucharist.

R.C.I.A. is primarily a journey of faith and discovery through...

    • Various stages of exploration, questioining and learning,
    • Meeting and getting to know a variety of Catholic women and men,
    • Hearing the Gospel proclaimed and by faithful reflection and prayer,
    • Study and discussion about the Catholic experience and teachings,
    • Personal doubts and hesitations,
    • Involvement in the works of charity and justice with those already committed to the Catholic way of life,
    • Hearing and discernment God's call in each person's life,
    • Increasing steps of commitment as each is ready,,
    • Reception of the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist) to a life of faith, love, and justice in communion with Catholics throughout the world.

    1. Are you unbaptized and want to explore Catholicism?
    2. Are you baptized in another Christian community or denomination and want to know more about the Catholic faith?
    3. Are you baptized Catholic but need to complete your sacraments of Initiation?
    4. Are you non-Catholic and preparing to marry a Catholic and just want to know more about the faith of your future spouse?
