Brother Knights of Council 12866,

As many of you know our Council has had a very busy past weekend.  We had our last weekend for the Brisket sale and I am please to report that we sold 60 briskets.  The briskets will be delivered this coming Friday evening and Saturday morning just in time for Labor Day.

Last Saturday our Council provided lunch to the CCE teachers in the Community Center.  We served Taco salad, Ice Tea and Lemon Aid.  I received the following note from Ginger Tamborello in the Church office, “Thanks so much for the great lunch yesterday.  The teachers really enjoyed it.  They thought I was going to serve them sandwiches.  What a great treat!  I really appreciate you and your brother knights (the wives too).  Ginger”   I also want to thank those Knights and their wives that came out to help serve this meal and make it a success.

The third thing which our Council did this past weekend was another Tamale sale.  This time we did not run out of Tamales and sold approximately 90 dozen on Sunday.  Special Thanks to Kuno and Ruben who helped make the Tamales sale successful.  I will let everyone know prior to the next Tamale sale.

Mark your calendars for October 4th as the next event for our Council to shine.  The Church office has asked our Council to prepare and serve Chili Pies and Hot Dogs with all the trimmings after the 10:00 and 11:30 Masses.  I will speak more on this topic and a couple others at our next Council meeting on Thursday of next week, Sept 10th.  I hope to see everyone at this meeting.  If you are friends with a Brother Knight who has not been to our Council meeting for a while, give him a call and personally invite him to come next Thursday.  I look forward to seeing you all.

God Bless,

Gary Truax

Grand Knight
